Sunset is one of my favourite times to photograph families outdoors. The light is softer, the beaches are starting to quieten down and there’s something about being outside at the end of the day that naturally lends itself to a more relaxed session.
And when there are young kids involved, movement is always encouraged. They absolutely do not need to stand still and smile at me!
We walk, play, cuddle, explore and let things unfold. I’ll give you direction when you need it, but mostly I’m looking for all those little interactions between you that already happen every day.
Because those are usually the photographs that end up meaning the most.
